The waves of public outcry which have been making their way around the globe are beginning to lap at the shores of the US. The unhealthy state of our political system and economy will necessitate the intervention of the voice of the people. For too long the average American has been myopic and distracted, taking no interest or responsibility as citizens. Most just assume that someone else is minding the shop.
It appears that now even the most uninformed and aloof must at least have some idea of the sorry state of affairs. More people are speaking out, and the voices are getting louder. Communities of people of like mind are beginning to organize for common purpose. The fabric of the social network is coming together now, and is headed in the direction of action for change.
Watch and see or better yet get informed and get involved. Citizenship includes both rights and responsibilities. At the very least, register and vote!
