Reading for Understanding

Reading involves what you bring to the words, as much as what you take from them.

There is a lot of information flying around like angry birds right now. How are you reading it? I would guess that your understanding is filtered through what you already know and is grounded in yours beliefs. What beliefs do you bring to this issue? What are your beliefs grounded in? Can your beliefs change?

Growth occurs when new discoveries are made about the issue, and more importantly when they are made about oneself. Think about it.
