The Christian right wing and religious fundamentalists are the ones waging the war on religious freedom. These individuals and groups claim that they are persecuted when they are called out on their bad behavior. When the freedom of religion becomes the freedom and liberty to oppress and discriminate, we on the Christian Left have a problem with that. We resent the altar of the church being used as a stump for their political agendas which oppress the poor, shame and degrade the weak and vulnerable, discriminate without shame. These people have been bad stewards of the public trust.

These fundamentalists are prostituting the church.
